The Creative Independent

Until recently, I served as the Senior Editor at The Creative Independent, Kickstarter’s art and culture publication based in Brooklyn. Described as “a growing resource of emotional and practical guidance for creative people,” the site itself is an experiment in service journalism, offering tips, guides, and feature interviews with a wide variety of creators. As the senior editor, I oversaw the daily publication of the TCI website and our various print publications (zines, guides, and books), while also interviewing hundreds of musicians, designers, artists, and celebrities.
